September Earnings

I went into semi retirement in September when I left my job. Luckily, I still have money coming in, so I am not in a hurry to look for another job. In fact, I don't really need to work, but there is still something inside me to continue.

Anyway, here is a summary my dividend / interest income for September.

September is the last month for 3Q so that numbers are higher than it should be.
Also, I am in the process of rolling over my 401k to a traditional IRA. I will just leave it in a market wide index, so roll2 account may not show up every month.

I think the numbers look good. I am happy to see gains every year.

  1. That are some serious numbers! Very nice to see. Do you plan to continue to invest or do you keep building your dry powder? I've read your very interesting article about recession indicators and maybe this means, you aren't willing to put extra money to work right now. Oh and welcome back :)

  2. Thanks DivRider. I am not sure if I am really back :)
I am in the process of rolling over a 401k to an IRA. This is currently in cash/money market, but it was 100% invested previously. I will definitely invest this account.
In terms to my cash position, this will depend if I go back to work. If yes, then I will invest. Otherwise, I'll keep several years of expenses (probably 5 years), and slowly invest over time. For now, I am just adjusting to my new life.
